(Monroe, MI) Daniel Clay is facing sentencing after being convicted in the death of Chelsea Bruck.
A jury found Clay guilty Tuesday of felony murder and concealing Bruck's body. He was found not guilty of first-degree murder, which would have required the jury to find there was premeditation.
Clay took the stand in his own defense Monday, telling jurors that the victim died while they were having consensual rough sex in 2014 after a Halloween party. Clay called the death an accident and admitted he panicked afterward and hid the body in a wooded field.
Clay will be sentenced in mid-July. He faces a possible life sentence.
