(Monroe, MI) Closing arguments are scheduled this morning in the Daniel Clay murder trial.
The prosecution and defense rested their cases Monday after Clay took the witness stand in his own defense. Clay is accused of killing Chelsea Bruck in 2014 in Monroe County and says her death was an accident and he panicked and hid her body. Clay admitted he was responsible for her death, but said it happened while they were having consensual rough sex.
Prosecutors say Clay beat Bruck to death after they met at a Halloween party. Clay and Bruck met at the Frenchtown Township party and had sex in his car.
