Sen. Rob Portman: Senate Health Care Bill Should Give States More Flexibility

WASHINGTON D.C. - One of Ohio's U.S. Senators says it will take primarily Republican votes in the Senate to make headway with the health care bill.

Senator Rob Portman says about a third of Ohio counties have just one insurer on the private market, making Obamacare a failure.

"Premiums have skyrocketed, so have deductibles, so have co-pays and there's a lack of competition," Portman told Fox News.

Portman says the Affordable Care Act is collapsing under its own weight. The Senator tells Fox News that the opioid issue, about 50 percent of the cost of expanded medicaid in Ohio is being used for substance abuse and mental health treatment
