Hundreds of College Students Graduate This Weekend

(Toledo, OH) Thousands of Northwest Ohio college students will receive their degrees at ceremonies this weekend.

USA Today sports columnist and Toledo native Christine Brennan will deliver the graduation address at the University of Toledo this weekend. U-T is holding its first outdoor commencement in nearly a decade at the Glass Bowl, where more than 29-hundred students will receive their degrees. The graduation ceremony starts at 10 a.m. Sunday morning.

Bowling Green State University will hold commencement this weekend for 23-hundred graduates at three separate ceremonies. Graduate students will turn their tassels tonight. Arts and sciences students will receive their degrees at 9 a.m. Saturday, while everyone else walks across the stage at a 2 p.m. ceremony tomorrow. All of the graduation events will be at the Stroh Center.

The University of Findlay will host graduation ceremonies this weekend for more than 1,000 students. Ceremonies for grad students get underway Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by commencement for undergraduates at 3 p.m. Both will take place at the Koehler Fitness and Recreation complex.

Owens Community College will host graduation exercises this evening for nearly 700 students earning an associate’s degree. Cherry Street Mission Ministries president Dan Rogers will deliver the keynote address. The commencement exercise starts at 6:30 tonight at the student health and activities center.
