(Toledo, OH) There likely will be a third big name in the Toledo mayor's race.
Lucas County's treasurer has made a lot of noise to this point about a possible run for mayor. Now 44-year old Wade Kapsukiewicz is expected to make it official with a late morning press conference at the solar fields outside the Toledo Zoo along the Anthony Wayne Trail.
The county treasurer started the Lucas County land bank, which assembled the land to make that project possible.
His candidacy could split the Democratic party in half. Incumbent mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson already is endorsed by party officials and the United Auto Workers. But many unions have held off their endorsements so far.
The four-term treasurer once served on Toledo city council-- and has been publicly critical of how his hometown is operating.
