(Toledo, OH) A proposed water authority in Lucas County is moving forward.
Toledo and suburban officials hired a consultant Thursday to help finalize agreements between the cities and Lucas County. The joint water system has been in the works since Toledo's suburban water customers threatened to break away over the rates they're being charged.
An agreement could be in place by the end of this year.
