Cedar Point Unveils New Travel Sports Complex

(Sandusky, OH) Cedar Point is showing off its latest addition-- one expected to draw big crowds.

Sports Force Park is a partnership between the amusement park and Erie County officials, designed to draw even more travelers and tourists to Sandusky.

The $23.5 million dollar athletic complex is aimed at the $7 billion per year travel sports industry-- namely softball, baseball, soccer, and lacrosse.

There are nine multi-purpose, synthetic turf fields; four NCAA-regulation baseball fields; eight NCAA-regulation soccer and lacrosse fields; plus a championship baseball/softball stadium.

But there's other family-friendly amenities on the 57-acre site of a former airport-- the Sky Trail high ropes course, Putt-in-Bay mini-golf, and the Sky Bounce bungee trampoline.
