Rescuers Caring for Nearly 200 Seized Animals

(Lima, OH) A lot of cash and care going into nearly 200 animals rescued late last week.

Efforts over the weekend went into overdrive to nurse back to health the nearly 200 animals seized from poor conditions in Allen County.

The Ohio SPCA and Humane Society rescuers say they fought their way through debris and feces near Lima to free the animals from crates and cages inside a home-- including large numbers of chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, and parakeets.

The animals are being quarantined and assessed-- the rescue agency says it may take time before new homes can be found because of its ongoing investigation.
