(Wauseon, OH) A rural Northwest Ohio county now has two potential death penalty cases-- in under a year.
Fulton County prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for a man charged with killing his former girlfriend and taking their son across state lines.
27-year old James Ramey faces more than 20 criminal counts, accused of shooting 23-year old Amanda Mangas last month at her Delta home. The East Toledo man also is accused of kidnapping his infant son and the victim's stepmother. They were stopped halfway across Indiana by police there. Investigators believe Ramey used a stolen handgun to commit the crimes, which include violating a protection order.
58-year old James Worley of Delta also faces death row if convicted of kidnapping and killing 20-year old University of Toledo student Siera Joughin last summer.
