(Perrysburg, OH) A new school for fifth and sixth graders in Perrysburg has been recognized by the state.
Perrysburg is laying claim to northwest Ohio's first STEM-designated school. The Ohio Department of Education named Hull Prairie Intermediate School Tuesday as a specialty school for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Perrysburg school officials say the building's nontraditional layout will prepare fifth-grade and sixth-grade students for a technology-based future. The school is slated to open this fall.
