American Airlines Announces New Route From Toledo Express

SWANTON, Ohio - Starting this summer, you'll be able to make a non-stop flight to Charlotte, North Carolina. 

American Airlines announced Monday that they will start a non-stop daily service to Charlotte Douglas International Airport from Toledo Express Airport. The flights will begin on August 22, 2017. There will be two flights per day on 50-seat regional jets with departures from TOL at 7:00 a.m. and 1:37 p.m., and arrivals to TOL at 1:02 p.m. and 11:47 p.m.

“This new nonstop service to Charlotte provides Toledo and Northwest Ohio with a multitude of new connecting flight options,” said Paul Toth, President and CEO of the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority. “This service is a testament to the continued growth of the local economy and American’s belief in this region.”

Charlotte Douglas International Airport is the second largest hub in the American Airlines network and the third largest airline hub in the world, with more than 650 daily departures to over 150 destinations in 24 countries.
