COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Toledo Correctional Institute will be receiving $60,000 in state funds for facility upgrades.
The Ohio Controlling Board released the money Monday for the Toledo Correction Institution to obtain fire damper inspections and exhaust system cleaning from Toledo-based VC Systems, LLC.
“Since its inception, Toledo Correction Institution has been committed to not only recruiting dedicated, hardworking staff, but also preparing its inmates to return to be active members of society and possess the skills needed for today’s workforce,” said State Rep. Michael Ashford (D-Toledo). “The state investment approved today will help ensure the continued safety of the institution’s staff and volunteers.”
