Fremont Murder Passes Two-Year Anniversary

(Fremont, OH) The murder of a 28-year old single mom in Fremont marked a two-year anniversary over the weekend with still no arrests.

Heather Bogle clocked out at Whirlpool in Clyde-- and that was the last time she was seen alive. Bogle's body was found a day-and-a-half letter stuffed in the trunk of her car at an apartment complex. An autopsy report shows she had been beaten, tied up, and her hair cut in a jagged pattern-- all before being shot twice in the chest.

The lead detective in the case resigned last fall and the former sheriff is now in prison on drug and theft charges. The new Sandusky County sheriff has enlisted state investigators and vows to give more manpower to the controversial case, stopping just short of calling it a botched investigation.
