Ohio's Execution Method Ruled Unconstitutional

CINCINNATI, Ohio - A federal appeals court has ruled that Ohio's new three-drug cocktail for lethal injections is unconstitutional.

WTOL 11 reports the proposed use of a sedative called midazolam was rejected by the court.

The ruling likely delays the state's plans to execute convicted murderer Ronald Phillips. He was scheduled to be executed on May 10.
