(Toledo, OH) Toledo’s mayor and city council may be in line for significant pay raises.
The Toledo salary review commission wants to restore the mayor’s salary to $136,000 per year— and hike each council member’s salary to just under $40,000, which represents a nearly 50 percent increase.
The commission meets every four years. If approved, the new salaries would affect office-holders elected later this year. City council is expected to vote on the proposed raises in the coming weeks.
