MONROE, Michigan - A Monroe man convicted of "extreme neglect" of his wife will spend the next six months in prison.
WTOL 11 reports Robert Shelton was sentenced to six months for improperly caring for his wife in her final days. Emergency crews found Debbie Shelton unconscious in the couples' home in December 2016. She later died in the hospital.
After he's released, Shelton will be on probation for five years.
