(Jerusalem Township, OH) A Mexican national is behind bars, accused of causing a deadly crash in Jerusalem Township.
Alejandro Ramirez-Jaramillo of North Carolina was charged Monday with vehicular homicide. The state highway patrol says Jaramillo was drunk when he ran a stop sign on Cousino Road this past weekend and slammed into a car on Seaman Road.
All three people in the other vehicle were killed, including a Northwest Ohio schoolteacher and her parents..
Jaramillo told troopers he's in the U.S. illegally. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has a hold on Jaramillo at the Lucas County jail for possible deportation. He's being held on 300-thousand dollars bond.
