Teen Who Set Deadly Fire Seeks Appeal

(Toledo, OH) The Toledo teenager in prison for setting a deadly house fire is seeking an appeal.

Attorneys for 19-year old Kassi Brandeberry's  will ask the Sixth District Ohio Court of Appeals for another chance to plead her case.  Brandeberry pleaded guilty last year to firebombing an East Toledo home, killing 14-year-old Joseph Fazenbaker  and severely burning his stepbrother Michael Rheinbolt.

Prosecutors say she threw accelerant on the front porch and lit it on fire-- because the victim she killed was dating another girl.  She's serving 21 years to life in prison. Oral arguments will be heard in the case later today.
