Sylvania Twp Senior Apartments under Consideration

(Sylvania Twp., OH) A developer in Sylvania Township will try a second time today for approval of an apartment complex before the Lucas County plan commission.

A Florida developer wants a zoning change on nine acres of land behind the Central Avenue Lowe's store for a five-building senior apartment complex.

The planned-unit development would have 112 living units in those two-story buildings. There also would be a community building for the senior residents to gather.

The developer tried to get approval for a larger, four-story apartment complex last fall, only to be rejected by Sylvania Township trustees over neighbors concerns of its density, height, and increased traffic.
