Ottawa Hills Rejects Secor Widening Project

(Ottawa Hills, OH) Plans to widen a stretch of Secor Road appear to be dead, for now.

Ottawa Hills Village Council voted against the project last night, blocking the city of Toledo from moving forward. The two communities would have been partners on a plan that would have widened Secor between Kenwood and Bancroft streets.

A dozen houses were set for demolition to make room for the wider road. Ottawa Hills schools also would have lost an estimated $55,000 worth of property taxes as a result.
