Animal Collection Found In Toledo Home

(Toledo, OH) Normally humane officials seize animals in situations like this, but more than two dozen animals will stay in a south Toledo home after police stumbled upon them while serving an arrest warrant.

Police say dogs, ferrets, cats, snakes, birds, a pig and a calf were found inside the South Avenue home this past weekend.  Toledo Area Humane Society officers found the animals to be in good health and allowed them to stay in the home. Two of the dogs each have litters of puppies.

Authorities will keep checking on their welfare in the coming weeks..
