(Columbus, OH) More than 100,000 rainbow trout will be released in Ohio lakes and ponds this spring-- starting today.
The releases will happen as long as the areas are ice-free and accessible to anglers. State wildlife officials also are now offering fishing licenses for 19 bucks apiece, which are required to fish in state public waters and ponds stocked by the state.
The first trout stocking in the region will be at the Delta and Swanton reservoirs on April 5th.
