Dana Buys U.S. Manufacturing in Suburban Detroit

(Warren, MI)   Auto supplier Dana Corporation has purchased suburban Detroit-based  U.S. Manufacturing for $100-million.

The deal was announced Wednesday by Dana, which makes axles and drivelines for several auto companies.

USM produces axle housings in the facility that once was home to the Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant.  Officials with Dana say the purchase will double the number of employees the company has in Michigan.  Dana has facilities in Novi, Auburn Hills and St. Clair.
