(Toledo, OH) There's a pro-presidential rally being organized in Toledo for Friday.
A Spirit of America rally will take place in International Park during the lunch hour to show support for President Trump.According to a notice from the Lucas County Republican Party, the rally will be positive, patriotic and uplifting. It's scheduled to run 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Friday.
The rally will occur as a new poll shows President Trump's approval rating in negative territory. The new NBC News/"Wall Street Journal" poll shows Trump's approval rating at 44 percent -- a record low for a new president right after inauguration. The poll shows 48 percent of Americans disapprove of his performance and 32 percent say the first month in office proves he's not equipped for the job.
He still has strong support among Republicans. Trump is the first president in modern polling history to ever start his term with a net negative approval rating.
