COLUMBUS, Ohio - The date and time have been set for the Governor's State of the State address.
A letter to the speaker of the Ohio House and the Senate President from Governor John Kasich sets the date of the State of The State for April 4th. That's set to take place at the Sandusky State Theatre. The Governor's request includes a joint session of the House and Senate at 7 p.m. that night. The Governor's office says that holding the event in Sandusky will be an opportunity to show off the state's crown jewel, Lake Erie. It's the sixth year in a row that the State of the State speech has occurred at a location not on the Statehouse grounds.
