Kristi Leigh Set To Replace Emilie Voss at WTOL-TV (LISTEN)

WTOL-TV yesterday announced their plans to hire local anchor Kristi Leigh to join their news team within the next few weeks.  Leigh makes the move from Sinclair-owned WNWO-NBC24, following that station's decision to outsource much of their news operation to a co-owned station in South Bend.

Kristi Leigh will be partnered at the anchor desk with Jerry Anderson.  She replaces Emilie Voss, who left the station two weeks ago to move to the Washington DC area.

Brian Lorenzen, WTOL General Manager, told The Blade that his station interviewed about 60 candidates for the job before deciding upon Leigh.  Leigh is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and has previously worked for 13ABC as well as NBC24.

The Scott Sands Show made a call to congratulate Kristi yesterday afternoon.
