Jeep is adding a new model to the Wrangler line, announcing the Wrangler Rubicon Recon for 2017.
The Wrangler Rubicon Recon replaces the Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock, and features a stronger front axle and tougher cast covers on the front and rear differentials. The Rubicon Recon also features a half-inch lift, as well as 17-inch wheels. A reshaped rock rail will allow owners to replace the standard 32-inch tires with 35-inch. The assembly of the Wrangler Rubicon Recon will be built alongside the other Wranglers at the Toledo Assembly Complex.
The Wrangler Rubicon Recon comes at a premium, retailing $39,145 for the 2-door model, and $42,945 for the 4-door Unlimited.
