Former Sandusky County Sheriff Withdraws Appeal

SANDUSKY, Ohio - Former Sandusky County Sheriff Kyle Overmyer has changed his mind about appealing his conviction.

WTOL 11 reports Overmyer submitted a handwritten note on January 19, asking that his appeal be withdrawn. He began the appeal process just two days earlier. The letter was filed with the court last Friday.

Overmyer pleaded guilty back in November to 14 counts of theft and drug charges. He's currently serving a four year prison sentence.
