Governor Kasich Wants To Know Why Amazon Isn't Moving Into Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Governor John Kasich is weighing in on why Amazon chose to locate its new airline hub in Hebron, Kentucky over Wilmington, Ohio.

Governor Kasich says he's disappointed that Amazon did not locate in southwest Ohio.

"Why didn't they come to Wilmington? Two basic reasons. They're worried about workforce because this could be a significant increase in jobs and secondly, infrastructure," Kasich says.

Kasich says Amazon and CEO Jeff Bezos made the decision about less risk and a bigger workforce from which to recruit. Kasich says Ohio put four million dollars toward the Wilmington deal.
