San Jose City Council Member Lan Diep says he's a proud comic book geek and he's found inspiration in some of his pulp heroes.
When he was sworn in as a new city councilman this week, Diep took the oath of office with Captain America's shield in his hand. He told KNTV in San Francisco that he feels drawn to Captain America because the Captain stands for the same things he does: "equal justice, fair play and democracy."
