CORTEZ CONFUSION: Ocasio-Cortez Says ‘New Deal’ NOT ‘Massive Government Takeover’
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez continued to defend her recently unveiled ‘Green New Deal’ from widespread criticism Thursday night; saying the proposal is not a “massive government takeover” but rather the “release of federal investments.”
Cortez was speaking with MSNBC’s Chuck Todd when she deflected GOP criticism of her massive entitlement program; claiming the party was “mischaracterizing” the proposal.
“I think one way that the right does try to mischaracterize what we’re doing as though it’s like some kind of massive government takeover,” said Cortez.
