HILLARY WADES IN: Clinton Announces Fundraising Schedule for Midterm Elections
Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is preparing her political comeback for this fall; unveiling a slate of fundraising events to raise money for Democratic hopefuls ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.
According to NBC News, Clinton is set to speak at major events in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York to generate funds for the DNC and specific candidates just weeks before American voters head to the polls.
The campaign stops are being touted as “intimate dinners with discussion” and will feature a meet-and-greet with the former Secretary of State.
A spokesperson for the Republican National Committee hailed Clinton’s speaking tour, saying the longer Hillary remains in the public spotlight the better the chances the GOP will retain control of Congress this fall.
“The longer a scandal-plagued Hillary Clinton lingers in American politics, the worse off House Democrats will be,” said Jesse Hunt, a spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee.”
