The Supreme Court has voted down Louisiana's restrictive abortion law that would have limited the state to just one functioning clinic.
The Court ruled 5-4 on Monday that the law, which required clinics to have admitting privileges with a nearby hospital, was unconstitutional.Ā Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the Court's four liberal justices.
It was the first abortion-related case heard by the Supreme Court since conservatives Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh were appointed by President Trump.
