LISTEN: Commander Kirk Lippold On Firing Captain Of USS Theodore Roosevelt

Last week, Acting Secretary of the Navy Thomas Modley removed Captain Brett Crozier from command of the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier after he wrote a memo sounding the alarm about the safety of his crew following an outbreak of the COVID19 virus aboard the ship. Over the weekend, Acting Secretary Modley blasted the Captain in an address to the ship's crew calling Captain Crozier either "too naive or too stupid" to be in command; or, that he intentionally leaked to the media a memo warning about the spread of Coronavirus on board the carrier.

Commander Kirk Lippold USN (Ret), Commanding Officer of the destroyer USS Cole during the 2000 terrorist attack while in a Yemeni port, commented on the dismissal during today's edition of The Scott Sands Show -- click here to listen with our free iHeartRadio app. Commander Lippold also discussed national security implications of COVID19.

Captain Crozier has also since been diagnosed with Coronavirus.
