Today, Governor Mike DeWine (R, OH) called on the state's General Assembly to ban the sale of flavored vape products and flavored e-cigarettes amid growing national concerns of health issues related to vaping. "The use of flavors is how they are getting people addicted," said DeWine. Michigan, as well as several other states, have implemented bans through Executive Order; however, DeWine stated he does not have that authority in Ohio. Ohio Department of Health officials claim there are 22 pulmonary illnesses in the state reportedly linked to vaping, more than 800 nationally.
