Evan Rankin, all-time leading goal scorer for the Toledo Walleye, got to be Goose to a real life Maverick in an F-16 ride-a-long before this weekend's Toledo Air Show. He was on The Scott Sands Show today telling us about the experience -- click here to listen with our free iHeartRadio app.
Rankin tells us he had to go through rigorous physical and medical tests, as well as a background check, before getting cleared to clear with the 180th Fighter Wing in Swanton.
He and Lt Col Chad Holesko made it round trip to Cincinnati and back in less than an hour. Rankin claims he even got to take the controls of the "Stinger" and swears he didn't puke.
