Michael Cavanaugh Talks About The Music Of Billy Joel With Toledo Symphony

Michael Cavanaugh, known as the new voice of the American Rock & Roll Songbook, will join the Toledo Symphony on Saturday night to perform The Music of Billy Joel at the Peristyle Theater. Cavanaugh became famous for his piano and lead vocals in Tony-nominated Broadway musical "Movin' Out." In that role, Cavanaugh was nominated for Best Performance by a Featured Actor.

Michael Cavanaugh - The Songs of Billy Joel and More debuted in April 2008. He also currently tours with four other symphony performances. His second commercial album, "The Way I Hear It," was released two years ago and reached #17 on the Billboard Heatseakers chart.

Billy Joel personally selected Michael for the Broadway production of "Movin' Out" after seeing him perform in a piano bar. Cavanaugh talked with Scott about that huge opportunity, and more, on The Scott Sands Show -- click here to listen.

Daniel Brier conducts Michael Cavanaugh: The Music of Billy Joel on Saturday night at the Peristyle Theater with the Toledo Symphony. A limited number of tickets may still remain at ToledoSymphony.com.
