Wisconsin police were called to investigate a prowling panda in a Muskego neighborhood last week after a resident contacted authorities to report a panda bear spotted at the front door of his neighbor's home. The caller thought it was suspicious since panda bears are not native to the Badger State.
Officers made contact with the panda, who turned out to be (shocker) a 48-year-old resident of the neighborhood wearing a costume. The unidentified man said he was dog-sitting at a friend's house and thought it would be a fun prank on his neighbor's security cameras. He also picked up his daughter from school in the suit and greeted her at the school bus since pandas are her favorite animal.
Police say homeowners verified the panda was allowed on their property and thanked them for keeping an eye out for their neighborhood's safety.
