LISTEN: Queen Latifah on The Scott Sands Show

Queen Latifah is an American icon and one of hip-hop's female innovators. She's won a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, two NAACP Image Awards, and an Oscar nomination. Additionally, her albums have sold millions of copies, earning her a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 2006. After breaking on the scene in 1989 with "All Hail The Queen," featuring the single "Ladies First," she set the music industry on fire. Since then, her music has evolved to jazz, blues, and even Broadway.

She was on The Scott Sands Show this week to talk about music (CLICK HERE TO LISTEN) and promote her performance on Saturday night with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.

You may also recognize Queen Latifah from her FOX sitcom Living Single (1993-1998) or her current FOX hit Star. She's appeared in a number of films including Bringing Down The House, Barbershop 2, Taxi, 22 Jump Street, Junle Feber, House Party 2, Chicago, Scary Movie 3, and Girls Trip (among others).

Tickets are still available for Queen Latifah with your Toledo Symphony on Saturday, February 16, at the Peristyle Theater. Call 419-246-8000 or click here. Some tickets may still be available night of the show at the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle Theater.
