Nick Saban Coaching Dynasty Began in Toledo

Nick Saban was there for only one year. But the impact he made on the people at The University of Toledo continues three decades later. And vice versa.

Now, Coach Saban, as head coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide, is competing for his 7th National Championship Title.  The roots of his success, and his very first college football victory, were with the Toledo Rockets.

The 1990 Toledo Rockets finished the season 9-2 as MAC Co-Champions under Coach Saban, then he left to join the Cleveland Browns.
