Drew Brees Breaks NFL Passing Record

Tonight, New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees surpassed former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning to set a new NFL record for passing yardage in a career.

Drew Brees was on The Scott Sands Show over the summer to talk about the launch of his FNA Flag Football League for kids in the Toledo area.  Click here to listen on our free iHeartRadio app.

Following the record-setting pass tonight, a recorded message from Peyton Manning played to fans in the Superdome.

Prior to tonight's game, Drew Brees had thrown for 59-thousand yards since joining the Saints in 2006.  He's no stranger to the record books already; but, this might be his most prestigious accomplishment yet.  And, it comes against a stingy Washington Redskins passing defense who, up until tonight, had allowed the fewest passing yards per game in the league.
