Friday night, it's time for some great pop alternative rock and roll in Promenade Park as part of the ProMedica Summer Concert Series presented by Coors Light. Gin Blossoms, Tonic, and Vertical Horizon are on stage for ONLY $10!
In the 90's, you really had to try hard to turn on your radio and not hear Gin Blossoms or Tonic. I know, because I played them on the radio ... A LOT. Tonic's "If You Could Only See" was THE most played song of 1997. Gin Blossoms were all over the radio with hits like "Hey Jealousy," "'Til I Hear It From You," and "Allison Road." Vertical Horizon first broke on the scene in 1999 with "Everything You Want."
Over the years, I've had the pleasure to get to know these guys. Emerson Hart is one of my favorite songwriters; so, it will be great to see the guys again. I hope you'll join me at Promenade Park for this terrific concert night.
Emerson Hart of Tonic and Robin Wilson of Gin Blossoms were both on my show this week to talk about music, touring, and old times. Robin may or may not think I still know how to party ... you'll have to listen at the end of the interview to find out.
First up, Emerson and I catch up. Then, scroll down to my conversation with Robin.
