Viral Haircut Results In NW Ohio Firefighters Suspension

Middleton Township Fire Department placed two married firefighters from their department on administrative leave after a Facebook post of their daughter went viral over the weekend.

The department says they were made aware of allegations involving the couple and their daughter on February 1, following reports one  of them intentionally humiliated their daughter.  Wednesday, a woman posted to Facebook that her daughter had gotten highlights in her hair for her birthday.  The mother alleges the father and step-mother cut the girl's hair as punishment for the highlights.  The mother and the girl's father are separated.

Middleton Township has not identified the suspended firefighters but did say they are married.  The reason for the suspension is because of an ongoing investigation by Haskins Police and Wood County Job & Family Services.  Haskins Police Chief Colby Carroll tells WTOL-TV that the investigation is in its early stages; but, he has talked to the girl and her mother.  The father has also been questioned.

The mother has started a "Team Kelsey" Facebook page to raise money which she claims will be used for legal fees.
