Building a temporary museum exhibit in the middle of a very active radio and television studio is no easy feat. But

Mercury One, the nonprofit humanitarian aid and education organization Glenn founded in 2011, has taken on the challenge. And, as you'll see in the photos below, it's finally starting to take shape.

The special exhibition, "

12 Score & 3 Years Ago: The Unfinished Promise of Unity," will run from June 28th to July 7th at Mercury Studios in Irving, Texas, providing guests with an immersive experience exploring slavery and abolition and celebrating the lives of black heroes and innovators in the United States.

It won't be politically correct, Glenn promised his radio listeners earlier this week.

"Quite honestly, everyone has advised me not to do this museum," Glenn said during his radio program Tuesday. "We have gone over it over and over and over again, and I refuse to make it politically correct. I am only going to tell the truth, through the objects and through verifiable facts about what slavery is."

With over 100 artifacts, photographs and historical documents, five eye-opening augmented reality experiences and educational tools, the popup-museum will provide visitors with fascinating insights into our country's history and equip them to leave as modern-day abolitionists.

The truth is painful.

Because of the subject matter, Glenn explained this is not the type of event that is likely to draw massive crowds. But that does not diminish the importance of the event. "We rely on Divine Providence," Glenn said, explaining that this is one of those moments he knows will have eternal consequences.

"If you are anywhere within the sound of my voice, I urge you to come," Glenn said. "I would like to see you here. But if not, I am content that the people who are here are the right ones — the ones who will take this on and change the world and teach their children what truth really is — without a trigger warning. The truth is painful."

Tickets are available for purchase online (

HERE) or may be purchased at the door upon arrival.

Watch as Glenn and David Barton talk about what guests can expect to see at the event.
