Players and officials were told to walk off the floor while awaiting a decision from the league, and then the announcement was made to a jeering Oklahoma City crowd. Prior to the game on Wednesday, the team announced that Gobert and Emmanuel Mudiay were both out for the game due to an illness.

The slate of games Wednesday night – including the Jazz-Thunder gamedelayed before tipoff and postponed soon thereafter – was the last for an indefinite period of time. The New Orleans game at Sacramento, scheduled later than the others,subsequently was cancelledas well.
“The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic,” the league announced.
