The American Medical Association is now calling for a total ban on vaping products. Originally President Trump had said he would have the administration ban the sales of flavored products but that hasn't happened yet, in fact there has been no action taken since Trump commented early on in the controversy. Some believe the president backed off because of pressure or worry about losing voters.
According to Matthew Myers, president of the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids."In critical respects, he is getting bad political advice and bad public health advice," A ban "won’t cost him votes, but backing down probably will because only 3.2% of Americans use e-cigarette products and a lot more parents are terrified about the effect on their kids, and they vote too."
Should the President and the administration come out in favor of some type of ban or do what the AMA is suggesting and do a total ban on vaping products?
