President Trump has decided to pull US troops from the Northern provinces in Syria where they have been for years fighting with and training Kurdish forces. The decision has thrown the Mid-East into uncertainty with many believing that China and Russia will now step in and begin to influence the area to a much larger extent. Critics of the President, including Sen Lindsey Graham, do not believe the decision is a good one and see it as a message to our allies that we are not committed to the area any longer and can't be counted on for support.
The President though has said that he is keeping a campaign promise and that our troops have been there longer than necessary.
