Social media and art collide this weekend in movie theaters across the country as Joker opens nationwide. Federal authorities are warning local law enforcement about a series of threatening social media posts about the "R" rated film. So far there have been no credible threats against a specific venue but FBI and Homeland Security issued the warnings out of caution.
The film is getting a 69% favorable rating from people who have seen the film and Phoenix's performance is said to be award worthy.
Comic book fans are divided about the film though, many not wanting to know the origin story of the iconic character.
