Toledo Public Schools recently announced it received a ranking of D from the State of Ohio on its' school report card. That's an improvement from the previous F the district has gotten and a much needed boost to avoid state takeover. Many educators believe the methodology of the rankings is flawed itself and are not a true measure of what a district may be accomplishing with the students in the classroom.
Dr Durant, TPS superintendant, will be on Fred LeFebvre and The Morning News Wednesday to talk about how TPS got to a D and what steps are being taken to move the district forward from here. There are some highlights in the report with Chase STEM Academy receiving a B grade.
We'll also talk CTE classes and their impact on the grade.
In the meantime we want to know if you're satisfied with the grade performance of TPS WEDNESDAY 60 MINUTE POLL
