Yesterday Toledo Police Department held active shooter training in cooperation with Toledo Public Schools at the Scott Park Campus. Some in the community complained that it was inappropriate because the building was being used as a polling place for the primary election and that having that number of officers on hand was voter suppression. Later in the day the event took on a new controversy when photos of students pretending to be victims were posted on Facebook. Some of the students were stained with fake blood and smiling in the pictures posted. Several people were upset by the photos claiming they were only encouraging to other shooters.
Do you believe that photos showing active shooter training are appropriate to be posted on Facebook?
